Want to start P90X?

4 Jun

SO many people have gotten great results with P90X. However, others have gotten stuck with little to no weight loss and inches. Why is that? For one simple reason: they didn’t follow the steps needed to get the results they were looking for. P90X is an extreme workout. You have to follow the fitness and nutrition guide. Period.

The program is laid out for you for the entire 90 days! What workout to do, what foods you can eat and when you can rest. There is no guessing as to what to do. Now, if you don’t follow the guide and pick and choose your workouts, you will not get maximum results. The muscle confusion that P90X brings is designed so that your body doesn’t get used to the routines and keeps your body burning fat.

If you are serious and want to start P90X to be in the best shape of your life, then follow the program! Do this for yourself, your family, your life! You WILL see results and you WILL reap the rewards if you follow the steps laid out for you by the P90X program.

I Want To Start P90X

Are you ready? Do you want to start P90X? Here are some great tips and tools to help you get started on your journey.

1. Create your free TBB account for free coaching

This is the easy part! When you click the link and create your free Team Beachbody account, you will get support and motivation that will help you during your P90X journey. You also get ME as your personal success Coach, and you will get access to some free tools that will help you get started right.

2. Read through the P90X Fitness Guide AND P90X Nutrition Guide

Most people skip this part and then they are lost and don’t have a clue about anything! These guides come with the program for a reason! Read them! There’s a ton to learn!

3. Are you fully equipped?

P90X does not require much equipment, but it does require some. Make sure you have the required equipment before you start so that you have NO EXCUSES in saying that you didn’t have the equipment so you didn’t workout!

So what equipment do you need? Here’s a list:

-Dumbbells or Resistance Bands – You will need these for some of the workouts in P90X. Choose whichever suits your needs better.

-Pull Up Bar or Resistance Band Door Attachment – I can’t do a pull up to save my life. However, the Resistance Band Door Attachment is an awesome way to get the same results as a pull up bar.

4. Before Pictures and Measurements

DO NOT skip this step! This is so important! We all have a mental block to how we see ourselves. When you put your before and after pictures side by side, you will understand the power behind this step! Pictures speak volumes! DO NOT get fixated with the number on the scale! Inches lost speak volumes! I love a total of 35 inches all over my first round of P90X.

5. Fit Test

Most people aren’t even aware that P90X has a Fit Test. Well, guess what? It DOES! Like any other fitness program, check with your doctor first! If you have the ahead, move on to the Fit Test! The Fit Test can be found in your Fitness guide. If for some reason, you don’t you’re your guide, you can print out the test here: P90X Fit Test

6. Decide on your P90X Schedule and Print your worksheets

There are 3 different workout schedules of P90X that you can do. Lean, Doubles and Classic. Again, the guide has what the different workout schedules are. Do you see why you need to read it?? Pick the one that fits what you are looking for. The guide also has the workout schedules and sheets.

7. Figure Out Your Caloric Needs, Clean Out Your Kitchen, & Go Grocery Shopping.

Fitness + Nutrition + Support = Success!!! Reaching your goal, whether its weight loss or bulking up or toning, is nutrition AND fitness! Follow these steps to ensure you are on the right track.

• Based on your goals (lose weight, maintain weight and just get toned, or bulk up) you need to figure out your numbers (calories, protein, carbs, & fat). To find this out, log into your TBB account and click on Nutrition Tools, then Caloric Needs. This is a calculator that will show you what you need to know!

• Keep a food journal for at least a week to confirm you’re not over eating or under eating. There are various apps and computer sites that can help you with this or you can write everything down. Up to you. Just remember that EVERYTHING must be written down. Even one chip is counted! (Not that you will be eating chips…RIGHT?) Which leads me to:

• RID your house of ALL of all JUNK food, and go grocery shopping and purchase foods based on the P90X Nutrition Guide.

8. Pick your start date and daily updates

When you have your start date and are ready to roll, Ill add you to my private group on Facebook. In that group, we will share our workouts and nutrition, and will provide support and motivation to others in the group. It’s a proven fact that people who tell other people they are going do something actually follow through.

9. Your Results

People who finish ALL 90 days are known as P90X Graduates! You have completed an extreme program! That is something to be extremely proud of! With your permission, I will gladly post your results on my Facebook page for all to see (pics included if you allow). You should be flaunting your stuff now! Be proud and show it off!!

P90X Phases

At the end of each phase, approximately 30 days each, make sure to re-take your pictures, measurements and the Fit Test. This will help you gauge where you have improved and changed the most. It also helps see if you are going in the right direction or if you need to make some adjustments to your nutrition. At the end of those 90 days, you should see a dramatic end result.

Do you still want to start P90X?

I gave you a rundown of what you need to if you want to start P90X. This is your chance to DO IT. Are you serious about your health? Do you want it bad enough? Can you give yourself 90 days to improve your health, fitness, nutrition and life? I can’t wait to help you reach your goals and see your final results.

I really like your site. I wish it was more up to date. I used to do P90x and I got in amazing shape, then I moved and now I am lazy. I know I want that body again but I cannot bring myself to stick to it. I make up excesses all the time. I do how ever have a question, that is if you still check this. I was wondering what can you do if your weight is not heavy enough? I know the simple answer is to go buy heavier weights, but at this moment I cannot afford to do so with me being the only one working its not financially available for me to do so. When I did this work out a few years ago 5lbs is all I could use, and I felt like I was working out. Doing this work out now, 5 lbs is so light that I am bored and I don’t feel like I am doing anything at all. I went to the gym and used a range between 8-15lbs and I only did 3 of the arm work outs just to see if there was a difference, and 3 days later I still feel that difference. If the gym wasnt 25 minutes away, that would be where I would do my work out, I would just bring my tracking sheet and do it there. BUT that is more money in gas than buying weights. What would your suggestion be?
